Adopt-A-Tree Program

Mandate of the adopt option
  • Members or friends have an opportunity to adopt an already planted tree
  • A certain tree or shrub may have been a favorite and adopted in their memory
  • The advantage of this program is to see the tree in maturity
  • The price of an adopted tree includes registration, on-site labeling and tending for at least 10 years.
Recognition
  • Each adopted tree is marked with a sign indicating the donor(s) and recipient, name of the species, occasion of the donation and the date.
  • Inscription on a plaque affixed on the Tree Program wall panel in the Clubhouse
  • Donation noted on the website of the Tree Committee (The Adopt-a-Tree Program)
  • Acknowledgment by a letter of appreciation to the donor(s) indicating the species, size, site and date of signage by the Chairman of the Tree Committee
How to Participate
  • To participate, a member or friend submits a completed subscription form, indicating the name of the subject, person or event, the preferred tree for adoption from the list of trees available, the form of recognition desired and the method of payment.
  • Current minimum price of a 4" diameter deciduous tree is $1000.00 including taxes, planting, registration, on-site labeling and tending for at least 10 years. Conifer trees are $1500.000

  • Please include a short biography of the recipient with the subscription form

  • Call Joyel Singfield 777-3866 x201 to have the subscription form mailed to you with a list of Adopted Trees available, as favored by the Tree Committee
